During World War II, it is said that Dragon Lodge was occupied by Japanese soldiers, some of whom allegedly executed Catholic nuns in the courtyard. Dragon Lodge has seen many owners: the first owner who built the famous property in 1920 went bankrupt, forcing it to be sold.
